I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
